Our customers deserve a quality product! There are a couple of key questions our sales specialist will ask you to get a better idea of what you need (ie. Viewing distance, pitch size, communication type (Hardwired/ Wireless/ Internet), and the distance between your PC and the sign display).
- Pixel
- Pixel is short for picture element. Pixels are points of light that illuminate to form letters, words,
graphics, animation and video images. A pixel can be made up of a single LED, multiple LEDs of the same
color or multiple LEDs of different colors. A pixel is the smallest element of the electronic display
system that can be individually controlled. It can be turned off or on at various brightness levels.
- Pitch (pixel-pitch)
- The distance between the centers of adjacent pixels. Simply put, the smaller the pitch (the closer the
pixels are to each other), the shorter the optimum viewing distance for the display. The shorter the distance between the pixels, the more detailed the image.
- Resolution
- Resolution is defined as the number of pixels contained in the physical area of an electronic display.
The greater the number of pixels, the greater the amount of information displayed. The total number of
pixels are usually expressed as W x H, whereby W and H denote the horizontal and vertical number of pixels, respectively.
- Viewing Distance
- Viewing distance means the distance between viewer and sign. We need to know the approximately
viewing distance for the correct pixel size and resolution.
